Instructor: Ms. Lily Cianfaglione
Monday - Wednesday
July 13 - 15
10am - 12pm
3 sessions
Students will produce and develop two finished creative paintings developed from direct observation! We will start class with discussions of how art develops a feeling, and how we can break previous “rules” of color. Students will draw directly from what’s in front of them, whether that’s a still life of a vase with flowers, or a portrait of one of their classmates! After producing a basic, but accurate sketch, students will plan out a color-scheme and a feeling to evoke through the colors chosen. Students will practice mixing desired colors, color-blocking, and different brush-strokes. Every student will finish the course with two finished paintings on canvas as well as various new skills to take with them onto their next art journey!
All materials provided.
