Join photographer, naturalist and educator, Jesse Mechling for a two-day workshop photographing whales, and the coastal environment of Outer Cape Cod. The workshop includes one water-based whale watch, and a potential sunset at an outer Cape location or seal haul out (weather and tide permitting).
Students should bring a camera with a zoom lens (recommended 200mm or longer) or DSLR with interchangeable lenses. Zoom lens (200mm or greater) for whale photography and wide angle (10mm-35mm) for sunset. For the potential sunset photo location, a good sturdy tripod is highly recommended. No tripod is needed for boat based trip. Dress for the weather. Temperatures on the water can be slightly cooler than on land, so it is best to bring layers, a hat and sunscreen.
