We will be turning books,  book covers and their pages into art by altering used hard-cover books and their pages. The book and pages will become your canvas, as you paint, draw, cut, fold, tear, stamp and whatever else you can think of to create your own work of art. It can become a collage as well or a mixed-media piece. Instruction will be given each day as you progress using the different techniques you are presented with to create your Altered Book.

Michael A. Giaquinto is the Exhibitions Curator at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. He studied at Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA & North Carolina State University, where he studied art history.
