July 5, 2015, 4 - 6pm Painting Barn at 10 Meetinghouse Road, Truro
(April 17, 2015, Truro, MA) The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is hosting and art exhibition on July 5, 2015 and is calling all artists to donate work that deals with the beauty and ecology of water. The ocean, marshes, rivers and streams, lakes and other water systems all impact our lives. Water is the essence of life. The beautiful coastal landscape is the setting for the Truro Center for the Arts, a place where such noted artists as Hans Hoffman, Robert Motherwell and Edwin Dickinson were inspired for centuries by the beautiful light reflected from the “water” that surrounds Cape Cod. We invite artists to submit work that is 8” x 8” that expresses your understanding or concerns related to water and to come to see and purchase the work of other artists at their fundraiser on July 5, 2015, from 4-6pm in the painting barn at Castle Hill, 10 Meetinghouse Road, Truro, MA. All work will be sold for $140 each and artists may donate as many as they would like and proceeds from the sale of the work will help with the operation of The Truro Center for the Arts, a non-profit arts organization. For more information, contact the center at www.castlehill.org or call 508-349-7511.
