1 session

In this 1 day workshop Anna Wagner-Ott will teach you how to use Procreate’s tools in order to enhance your artworks and to make them professional for posting on social media websites or applying to juried exhibitions. You will learn all about selecting, importing and exporting your photos to and from Procreate, as well as, setting up file folders, learning the edit tools such as the different types of brushes, cropping, smudging, shading, and how to clean those messy walls surrounding your paintings or sculptures. Wagner-Ott will also teach you how to set up a virtual gallery where you can practice the different placements of your artworks and then publish your virtual gallery on social media platforms. After a day of learning the basic Procreate tools you will have digital photographs that are clear and crisp just like they were taken by a professional photographer.
Participants will need to bring an iPad and the iPencil to the workshop.

Anna Wagner-Ott studied fine art at the University of Alberta and the University of Toronto.  She has a PhD in Art Education from Penn State University.  Before retiring, in 2013, she held a tenured teaching position at California State University in Sacramento.   She has shown extensively in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the USA since the early 80’s and her work can be found in many collections in Canada and abroad.   Wagner-Ott has used Procreate for over 8 years.  She found many tutorials on YouTube for animators and designers but few practical ideas for the visual artists.   She takes photos of artworks on her messy studio walls and uses Procreate tools to clean up their surroundings, and then those images are calibrated and sized to look professional on all of her social media sites.  Additionally, she designs gallery interior spaces to flesh out ideas and then shares those exhibitions on Facebook and Instagram.  Procreate helped Wagner-Ott understand design possibilities for posters, art invitations, postcards, digital creations, NFT artworks and much more. She is excited to share Procreate processes in the workshop.
