Open to all skill levels this 2-Day Workshop will introduce techniques for creating 2-D and 3-D artwork using wool and encaustic. We will cut, fold, wrinkle, pierce and weave with wool. Both new and repurposed woven, knitted and unspun wool will be available for use. Alternative hanging solutions for sculptural wall hung work will be provided.

Day 1: Short demos will be followed by hands on manipulation of materials by participants. Sample boards are encouraged. An assortment of wool options will be provided. (thick, thin, woven, knitted & un-spun )

Day 2: Begin work on a finished project or continue to experiment & create sample boards. Receive individual feedback if desired.

•There will be plenty of materials to work with!

•Feel free to bring any wool objects, clothing or yardage that interests you.

•If you have a favorite rolling cutter, scissors or cutting mat bring it along.

 Susan Lasch Krevitt received her BFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She majored in Sculpture and Material Studies. Lasch Krevitt uses new and repurposed textiles, rubber, cardboard, encaustic and whatever it takes to build abstract, free standing and wall hung sculptural paintings.
Her process driven work explores themes of structure, connection and transformation informed by observations in the natural world. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums internationally and throughout the United States since 1985. In 2016 she had work at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, Mass and in 2018 at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in Ptown. In 2021 her work was shown at the Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, California.
