Lisa will demonstrate painting with R&F pigments sticks along with blender stick, oil paint, cold wax and her favorite drawing materials. Through guided exercises students will revisit fundamental of art concepts along with experimenting with these materials. Layering, mono printing and mark making will be covered along with the use of tools such as scrapers and brayers. Students will create 10-20 small scale studies on board and paper. (No encaustic included)

Lisa Pressman is a core instructor for R&F Handmade Paints in Kingston, NY and a workshop instructor for Gamblin Artists Colors. She is an annual presenter and instructor at the International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, MA. Lisa teaches workshops in both encaustic and oil and cold wax mediums throughout the U.S; including Penland School of Arts and Crafts, Pratt Institute, Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Art Institute of New York.

Lisa’s paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the USA and internationally. She’s represented by Circa Gallery in Minneapolis; Susan Eley Fine Art in New York; Telluride Gallery of Fine Art in Telluride; the Curator Gallery in New York and Thomas Deans Fine Art in Atlanta.
