Capture breathtaking moments in nature! This class will be mostly plein air with some studio time. Watercolor is the ideal medium for a sketch from life. It is not about perfectly replicating what you see, but about the brushstrokes you make as a reaction to what you see, and we’ll also see a lot of “accidents” but those can be contained, or appreciated. Painting out of doors, or any painting from a life subject, becomes a playful puzzle you could lose yourself in; but there are proven guidelines for landscape compositions, values and color combinations. Daily conversations and positive feedback about your work, will give you insight into the many ways you can express yourself with this medium. Watercolor painting seems easy, but still never ends to stay challenging for the experienced painter. This class is for beginners who have played around a little, as well as for intermediate water colorists.
