Ignite your creativity and transform flat materials into expressive, three-dimensional art in this week-long soft sculpture workshop. Dive into the tactile world of fiber arts and explore the endless possibilities of working with textiles, stuffing, and various embellishment techniques to bring your unique vision to life.

In this immersive studio course, participants will investigate the ability of fibers to transform forms and space. Over the course of the week, you will learn how to translate two-dimensional ideas and sketches into volumetric, soft forms. Inspired by modern and contemporary artists, you can choose to create sculptures based on everyday objects, abstract concepts, or fantastical creatures.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist looking to expand your skills, this workshop offers a supportive environment to explore, play, and challenge yourself.

Teenagers and adults of all ages are welcome. Participants will be invited to use a variety of materials (threads, fabrics, papers…) and experiment various sewing, crocheting techniques as well as pattern making basics. We will explore/discuss the work of Contemporary Fiber Artists such as Sheila Hicks, Nick Cave, Louise Bourgeois, Charles Ledray, Olga De Amaral, Yinka Shonibare and more artists.
