Billy Bilbro has been working in clay for over 30 years creating both functional and non-functional work utilizing wheel thrown and hand-built forms with geometric patterns and free form narrative illustration. She has completed residencies at Odyssey Center for the Arts in Asheville, NC and Baltimore Clayworks in Baltimore, MD. Currently based in Madrid, New Mexico, Bilbro draws inspiration from the high desert landscape where she lives and works. Her daily conversations with the crows and her meandering explorations through the desert inform her practice.
