It is always the perfect time to begin or revisit your sketchbook practice. Keeping a visual journal is a portable tool you can use to explore creativity and connect to yourself. I have been keeping journals as part of my studio practice for years amassing volumes of drawings, collages, prose, lists and paintings. I absolutely love having a place to gather my thoughts and ideas and make note of the things I notice and inspire me. On any given day I can paint a page, brainstorm a new project, respond to a poem or experiment with new materials. In this workshop, I will introduce you to some of the traditional and alternative materials that I use. I will share simple exercises to unblock your creative sessions and provide plenty of prompts for visual journal entries. I hope to share my love of spending time in a creative space and leave you feeling inspired to set aside time to record what matters to you most.
**Please note: As format and size preference is a personal choice, we ask that participants bring their own journal. All other materials will be provided by the instructor
