Instructor: Andrea Eisenberg
Wednesday - Friday
October 22 - 24
10am - 1pm
3 sessions
Our experience these three days will be as figurative sculptors working from a live nude model. Each day we will work on a variety of quick gestural clay sketches along with a 3 day long pose. We will have discussions on clay modeling issues and techniques using our hands and tools along with concepts of space, form, mass, planes, gesture, and some anatomy. Gestures, gravity, energy, and movement reflect the individual that we are modeling. We will be capturing their physicality as well as their emotions. Our pieces will reflect a moment with movement, tension, and gesture. These three days will focus on process and not a finished work. We will discuss clay preparatory sketches from well known sculptors.
