Italy Painting Workshop, Florence and Chianti in Tuscany
September 23 – October 2, 2019
This ten-day painting trip begins in Florence, Italy, the city where the Renaissance began. We will explore its streets, piazzas, and great works of art and architecture in the company of excellent guides. There will be quiet, morning walks, to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Corridor, and the Duomo. An afternoon tour has been included of the Accademia Gallery with the Statue of David. We will continue to Chianti In the Tuscan countryside to paint and stay at a restored country villa surrounded by a vineyard. There will be ample opportunity to wander through medieval hill towns, to enjoy regional foods and wines. Tour companions are welcome who are not artists. Open to painters of all skill levels.

Kathleen Jacobs has been painting from the landscape for 25 years, with a BFA from Univ. of MA, in Painting/Art History and MFA in Painting and Visual Arts from the Lesley College of Art and Design, Boston. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions throughout New England.
