We will explore with the following watercolor principles and techniques:
Washes and glazes, different ways to apply paint, using hard and soft edges, mixing darks and grays, using saturated and unsaturated colors, painting with a limited palette, the prism technique, creating texture in a landscape.

Nan Rumpf studied with Susan Swinland, Charles Reid, and Cheng Khee Chee. Her paintings have received many awards. She has provided instruction as a visiting artist at Framingham Sate College and Medfield High School. She teaches watercolor at the Danforth Museum School. She is an Artist Member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, and a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society. One of her paintings was recently accepted into an American Watercolor Society’s International show.
