At some point in the creative process, most artists and writers need feedback on works in progress to help them gain perspective. This can be a challenging and difficult endeavor, yet a vital one. The emotional stakes are high and little scholarly, pedagogic research has been done on the subject of giving/getting feedback. In this workshop we will analyze the process of criticism as it relates to nurturing works in progress, then each participant will forge their own rubric that can be utilized in the discussion of their work.

Roanne Kolvenbach has been teaching sewing to kids (ages 4-75)  for the past 6 years in NYC in the public schools and private lessons.
She has had a successful ceramic business and jewelry line for 3 decades.
