Dear Friends of Castle Hill,
I am very excited about this season’s Spring & Summer Catalog! As we step into our 41st year we continue the tradition of serving as the touchstone for the most diverse and innovative community of artists gathered in one school. This year you’ll find 35 new faculty members with courses never before offered at our campus. The sheer range of topics and mediums will surely whet any palette. We also are happy to bring back our favorites from years past. Our new partnership with Joanne Mattera and the overwhelming success with the International Encaustic Conference moving to Cape Cod has been expanded to include 30 pre & post conference workshops here in Truro + over 12 gallery shows in Provincetown in conjunction with the conference.
Judy Pfaff is our 2012 Woody English Chair. We are so delighted that this world renowned installation artist is returning, almost 20 years later to teach. We have several events planned around her stay with us. The Schedule of Events is more packed than ever with some special emphasis on our capital campaign. The effort to expand the campus through the purchase of 12 Meetinghouse Road has been a tremendous success. We have raised over 50% of the funds needed. We have created two special events to help take us to the top. Join us at the National Arts Club in New York in April, or at our Boston party in May. Your support will assure our role as the gathering place of an inspired arts community.
We look forward to sharing the excitement with you this summer. Please come visit, take a workshop, have a glass of wine with us.
