Castle Hill "Paints the Town
& Schooner Regatta Race" 2010
September 11

Board the Rudy Thomas on Fisherman's Pier

(owned by the Captains' John Boat)

12:30 - 3:30 pm

$25.00 per person Still room on the boat!

The 2010 Castle Hill “Paints the Town” on September 11th invites artists and tourists from throughout Cape Cod and the Northeast to participate in an extraordinary, unique opportunity: to paint the skyline of Provincetown from a whale watch boat during the Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta Race. Throughout the four-hour cruise that is the highlight of this event, participants are invited to join prominent Provincetown artists as they paint the town’s skyline, harbor, and the dramatic schooners themselves.

The deck of the Captain John boat offers a unique vantage point that not only captures the drama and excitement of the regatta, but also provides a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get close enough to paint even the crew members in action. The event will allow tourists and residents alike to have a truly distinctive cultural experience as they create art or watch art being created before their eyes, carrying on the tradition of the many artists who have graced Provincetown since the late 1800’s.

This event is held in conjunction with the Provincetown Great Schooner Regatta Race, and is supported in part by a grant from the Provincetown Visitors’ Services Board.

Food is generously donated by Ptown Parties.

Tickets are $25 But please call us to register to get a food count. Thanks.
